- About Edgar Allen Poe

Edgar Poe; January 19, 1809 – October 7, 1849) was an American writer, editor, and literary critic. Poe is best known for his poetry and short stories, particularly his tales of mystery and the macabre. He is widely regarded as a central figure of Romanticism in the United States and of American literature as a whole, and he was one of the country's earliest practitioners of the short story. He is generally considered the inventor of the detective fiction genre and is further credited with contributing to the emerging genre of science fiction. He was the first well-known American writer to earn a living through writing alone, resulting in a financially difficult life and career.

August : Patriotism and Religious fervour
- August : Patriotism and Religious fervour
August month is most of we called it religious month as Indian we know we are most notable country for lost of celebration country. During this month specially Gujarati celebrate lost of religious festivals like Rakshabandhan, Nagpanchami, Shitala Satham, Janmashtami, Id Mubarak etc. But it is my illusion because other states also celebrates this kind of days.
Patriotism VS Religious
During this month most people busy to celebrate religious festivals and they may be forgotten 15th August independence day behind history how we get freedom, we have a cruel history behind freedom it is a partition of India divided two-country - India and Pakistan, most of the people forget partition upon the nonsense based religion. So it is fair to forget the scene. Now again our most of Political party do that thing and we are celebrating and clapping when they speak on religious. For example Political leader speaks –
Religious VS Science
In the real sense people free from religious beliefs because still people believe to celebrate shitala sath doing worship to Shitalamata to believing she will save from chickenpox and smallpox but scientist vaccination helpful for us, not any goddess myrical. And most of people don't know about scientist Edward Jenner who found vaccination to spoil varial infection. While Magal massion kind of movie to appreciate the religious so it like bothering for us. How can be religious ideas connect with science? Because both are dealing with different ideas.
I like the most these are lines, how we are still not free to speak against nation because it considers as like traitorism here again question against freedom In Defence of Freedom: A Film by Nandita Das in this film Saadat Hasan Manto - played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui, his argument also suggest what is freedom, really we are free to write and speak bitter reality of nation
Thank you.

Girish Raghunath Karnad, the Karnataka film actor, director, writer, and playwright died 10 June 2019 at the age of 81 due to multiple organ failure. After his death so many controversy happen but not more shown by journalist and which we know controversy that may be real or some fact also. Because we are living in post truth area so we have difficult to justify what is truth and what is false. Karnad was great critic and always criticized other Indian writer like he didn’t like Rabindranath Tagore drama so he easily said as critic Tagore’s drama like boring. One of the famous Journalist Shri Sandeep Balakrishna in his article published in Dharmadispach. Sandeep characterizes Girish Karnad as an “outstanding political pamphleteer, artful dodger, fine actor, a mediocre director, and a terrible playwright
Hindu hatred controversy –
One of journalist said that Girish Karnad had brought shame to his country through his distortion of Hindu mythology, Indian history, culture, and traditions. Moreover, this public discourse has been completely centered around Girish’s personal affiliations, and not due to some social cause. It boggles one’s mind when realized that in an effort to fulfill his ambitions, Girish Karnad has indoctrinated much hatred for the Hindus and has downright discriminated against their rights and practices, under the label of ‘secularism’.On a related note, Tipuvina Kanasugalu is Karnad’s second attempt at glorifying Islamic barbarians and mass-murderers of Hindus as freedom fighters and misunderstood geniuses. The first was his “play,” Tughlaq, which bestowed sainthood upon the genocidal Muslim bigot, the madman Mohammad Bin Tughlaq. Outwardly, the “play” was supposedly based on this historical character but it is evident that Karnad drew a parallel between Tughlaq and Jawaharlal Nehru by characterizing both as misunderstood geniuses who were denied their rightful place in history by the fascist forces of orthodox and regressive Brahmanism.
The political pamphlet in the name of Tipuvina Kanasugalu was actually is in furtherance to the Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s communal agenda. Girish Karnad and Siddaramaiah had collectively taken several efforts to peddle their anti-Hindi hate in the state. So here One of the controversy is Karnad was Hindu hatred man according to his play Tughalaq because in this play he portrait Muslim is protagonist and this character killed so many Hindus. According to me we can not see people without attached with religious if any famous person some of ideas like different to compare other so that person called hater of majority. But it is not affairs for anyone because everyone has own choice.
Thanks
Review on Vinod joshi sir's Interview on " Sairandhri ".
- Review on Vinod joshi sir's Interview on " Sairandhri ".
Hello, everyone here I am going to talk about most famous Gujarati poet Vinod joshi and his interview.
Vinod Joshi is a postmodern Gujarati poet, writer and critic from Gujarat, India. His notable works include Parantu, a collection of Geets, Shikhandi, a long narrative poem based on Shikhandi, a character from the Mahabharata. He is the recipient of the Jayant Pathak Puraskar (1985), Critic's award (1986), Kavishwar Dalpatram Award (2013), Sahitya Gaurav Puraskar (2015), Narsinh Mehta Award (2018), and Kalapi Award (2018).
Hello, everyone here I am going to talk about most famous Gujarati poet Vinod joshi and his interview.
- Sairandhri by Vinod joshi
Structures:-
He published this poem in 2018.This metrical poem composed in prabandha form with seven cantos, 49 chapters and 1800 lines. It is based on Draupadi, one of the characters of Hindu epic Mahabharata. Here poet tried to explain Draupadi's feeling and thoughts. As a part of languages I can find that poet used figurative language, personification, meters, Chopai and Dohra in ' Sairandhri '. Here poet used Shrigar rasa also. Moreover I added that ' language always applied and each language has own valluations '. Normally creation of poem is reflection of poet's thoughts and reflection of background language. So here Vinod joshi born in rural area so He handed down his rural words in poem
Vinod joshi wrote one prabandh kavya " sairandhri". The event and poem basically takes place on India but as it is written in Australia It reflects the character of Draupadi. The poem recalls the memory of MAHABHARATA. Specially a VIRAT PARV ; when pandva and Draupadi live in king virat's palace. They live in " Agyat vas ". They hide their identity. In Hastinapur Draupadi was a queen but here in palace she leaves as a Maidservant of King virat's wife. In Hastinapur she gets help of shri Krishna and bheema and many more but here she can't find anyone's help. Here vinod joshi's Sairandhri was quite differ from mahabharat. Vinod joshi applied his imagination in poem. He writes that sairandhri like to karna in first sight when her # swaymvar # is happening. Her first like karma. Arjun was the second for her. karn was her first choice and Arjun was second choice. Karna was also hide his identity as he was the son of Kuntama. So, both are hiding their identity. so here vinod joshi draw his imagination world. so, in poem we can saw the question of identity. Five pandvas, Draupadi and karna hide themselves.
.
So, here Vinod sir present love story of Sairandhri and karna which was quite different from MAHABHARATA. From this poem we also for a while try to think on this type of condition, imagination. So it was a good poem which shows another perspective of the Mabharat's scene.
Thank you

Thinking activity on " The waste Land " poem.
- Thinking activity on " The waste Land " poem.
The waste Land is a poem by T.S. Eliot, widely regarded as one of the most alternating narrations, in which vignettes of several characters address those themes experimentally. It was published in 1922. It was very complicated poem to read. Eliot has take many references, characters, languages, scenes and images. Eliot has done use of enjambment.
Poem's structure divided into five sections :-
1. The Burial of the Dead
2. A game of chess
3. The fire sermon
4. Death by water
5. What the Thunder said.

1) What are your views on the following image after reading 'The Waste Land'? Do you think that Eliot is as compared to Nietzche's views? or Has Eliot achieved universality of thought by recalling my tho-historical answer to the contemporary malaise?

Eliot stands for Regressive, backward looking as it tries to find answers of contemporary malaise in Upanishads, Buddhism and Christianity.
On the other side Nietzsche stands for progressive and forward looking, in giving solution to the problem of contemporary crises in faith and self.
In compared to Nietzsche's thought, yes Eliot is regressive but it doesn't mean that he only rises question on his contemporary society, he also tries to give way of solution rather than the answers. Cycle of time always moving and when History start repeating one must have to look back and try to learn that what are mistakes our ancestor did and now when time comes to us how we will deal with it?
It is certain and right that new questions's answer we couldn't find in Upanishads, Buddhism and Christianity but the way of living, understanding towards any situation one can develop.
So we can conclude that it is also right that problems of contemporary crisis' solution is in faith and self but, the level of faith and understanding of self must be necessary. It comes from reading of myth-historical and religious thought. Eliot achieved that universality of thought.
2) Prior to the speech, Gustaf Hellström of the Swedish Academy made these remarks:

T.S. Eliot and S. Freud
According to my opinion Free vent to the repressed primitive instinct will automatically leads towards anarchy. We don't create disorganization in the community and world. Here in the epic poem I think Eliot has powerful ideas rather than Sigman froed. Another thing is that We all are lives our lives with specific perspective, with discipline and with moral rituals. Although life became more appropriate and enjoyable. Thus here i don't agree with idea of Freud.
3) Write about allusions to the Indian thoughts in 'The Waste Land'. (Where, How and Why are the Indian thoughts referred?)
- Here I found some Indian thought in ' The Waste Land'; in part no ; 3 The fire sermon its title which Eliot has taken it from Buddha's. It connected with Buddha. And then Then spoke the thunder

DA
Datta means to give: not only charity but giving oneself for some novel cause
DA
Dayadhvam means sympathise – empathise yourself with the sorrows and suffering of others
DA
Damyata means Self Control, control over one’s
passions and desires
Datta. Dayadhvam. Damyata.
Shantih shantih shantih
So Eliot has taken reference from many languages and from many writer and culture. So it is a mixture of all this thing. Here Eliot try to connected this all things and also try to deal with universal idea of world.

OD ON ONENESS OF LITERATURE
- OD on oneness of literature :
This blog is part of my academic activity. Here we have asked to see oneness in literature, with the comparison of "The Waste Land" by T. S. Eliot and the short story "Joke" by Anton Chekhov.
message through symbols. Here the lines from "Waste Land" and Anton Chekhov's short story "Joke" has some same symbols like environment, going down on the sled. In "Waste Land" it's about childhood memory the hidden meaning is sexual perversion, but in "Joke" has visible meaning of lust. In"Joke" there is only lust and name was given of love. So both has some similarities. Which also signifies oneness of literature.
Thank you.
